Going Green Never Tasted So Good

From the Ortiz family and Bodega Tapiz comes Spirit of the Andes, wines focused on being sustainable and delicious. The winemaker is Fabian Valenzuela and the vineyard manager Carlos Correas.

The "Las Uvas" vineyard is certified organic. The winery earned the GLOBAL G.A.P. (Global Partnership for Good Agricultural Practice) certification and was rewarded the Gold Medal for Sustainable Practices at the 2011 Best of Mendoza / Great Wine Capitals Awards.

Spirit of the Andes Organically-Grown Malbec
Made with organically-grown grapes from our estate Las Uvas vineyard in Tupungato, Valle de Uco; certified organic by the U.S.-recognized Organizción Internacional Agropecuaria (OIA).

This Malbec has a deep purple color, with lush flavors of cherries and raspberries, spice, and violets.

Spirit of the Andes Sparkling Torrontés
89 points, International Wine Review:
"This sparkling Torrontés is a crowd pleaser. It offers lots of attractive fruit aromas and flavors, but at the same time it’s very dry with racy acidity... This champenoise methode sparkling wine spends 12 months on the lees. It has high acidity (pH 3.2) and low residual sugar (0.5 g/l)."
